Kathy Kane

Kathy Kane leads our practice in New Zealand and specialises in senior executive appointments in the Higher Education and Health sectors.

Kathy has over 30 years' experience, gained in the private and public sectors in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and New Zealand. She has extensive knowledge of the issues and challenges facing large, complex organisations, particularly in relation to organisational development, transformation of services and organisational culture. Kathy has a demonstrable track record in working with a wide range of stakeholders, including the highest levels of management in universities, hospitals, architectural practices and research institutes.

Before moving back to New Zealand, Kathy was the Director of Modernisation/Transformation for Guy's and St Thomas' (GSTT) NHS Foundation Trust in London, a Trust with over 10,000 staff managing around 850,000 patient contacts a year. The Trust comprises two of the best regarded teaching hospitals in the UK, and has been accredited as one of five Academic Health Science Centres (AHSC) in the country, creating an organisation of over 25,000 staff.

Kathy has also worked for the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, hospitals and architectural firms in the USA, and for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and numerous District Health Boards in New Zealand through her own consultancy business.

Kathy received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago and holds a Masters of Science from the University of Maryland, USA.
