The Position

The Director of Curriculum and Future Learning will be charged with driving and embedding the Vision for Learning and developing a holistic curriculum to ensure the School’s commitment to providing a challenging, enriching, inspiring and supportive education environment for students and teachers.

Reporting to the Principal, this highly strategic role will foster a culture of learning that develops independent and adaptable thinkers and utilises the effective integration of technology to enhance the learning experience. The Director will deliver professional learning offerings to ensure students and staff are equipped with future focused skills.

The successful candidate will be highly energetic, an innovative educator with the ability to lead, motivate and empower staff and inspire students. The ideal candidate will be well versed in future focused learning practices and contemporary pedagogy, informed by research, technology and best practice. The appointee will have exceptional communication skills and be highly experienced at engaging with and developing positive relationships across a range of personalities at all levels within the school. Presenting with a demonstrated capacity to lead change, the appointee will display a strong alignment to the School’s strategy and vision, and be eager to leave a legacy of distinction.

Firbank Grammar School

Firbank Grammar School is an open-entry, independent, Anglican, day and boarding school, with girls’ only - junior and senior campuses in Brighton and a co-educational junior campus in Sandringham. The school currently caters for approximately 1,200 students across three campuses from ELC – Year 12. More recently, 750 students will commence the Firbank VCE program in China this year. With a history of educating students for more than a century and a strong belief in the value of girls only education in the secondary years, Firbank aims to provide a curriculum which provides the right balance of educational and real life experiences.
