Elaine Connor leads JFE’s practice in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. She specialises in senior executive appointments in the higher education, health and not-for-profit sectors.
Qualified as both a lawyer and clinical psychologist, Elaine has over 30 years’ experience, gained in both the public and private sectors. She has worked within the public sector in health and in education and training; has held senior legal and general management roles in the corporate sector and is a current legal presiding member of the New South Wales Guardianship Tribunal. Elaine also provides pro bono assistance to the NSW Cancer Council where she is the inaugural chairperson of the Steering Committee of the Cancer Patients Legal Referral Service.
Elaine has a reputation for being able to complete even the most complex and challenging search assignments and for her excellent client and candidate care. With a long history working with disadvantaged groups, Elaine is committed to ensuring a diversity of candidates is identified. Elaine was a director of Diversity Council Australia, a leading not-for-profit, independent, diversity advisor to business in Australia, from 2002 to 2010.
Elaine received a Bachelor or Arts with Honours from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Clinical Psychology from La Trobe University and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Monash University.
